We wanted to be something bigger. We’d been to beach clean ups and we try to buy non-toxic alternatives. We find ways to celebrate Earth Day and we’re diligent about separating trash, compost and recyclables (and even a little annoying about it to our friends.) We’d done all of this and we’re going to keep doing it because we care about shepherding the most beautiful Bay Area we can. But we wanted to be something bigger too. We wanted to be part of a group where everything we did came together; where we could come together with other people who not only care about a beautiful Bay Area but are doing things about it.

So we did.

We created Be the Street (You Want to See) to be a home for everyone who wants to be a part of the most beautiful, clean, safe and smart Bay Area we can be.

And we’re growing every day: citizens, students, governments, businesses, every day we are able to connect real people with each other in the Bay Area who are working towards the best Bay we can be.
